Why in the world are they letting the Village People perform on City Hall Plaza?

Oh, sure, Mac Daniels is focusing on the potential transportation nightmare of a Village People concert, a Sox game and an Esplanade concert all getting out at once in a city facing tunnel closings, floods and subways with no air conditioning, but, um, the Village People?
