If I died in that tunnel
If I died in that tunnel, I would not want it named after me. Why would I want my lasting mark on this world to be a commeration of the fact that I died under a concrete slab?
And if I fall down the escalator, don't name that after me either.
Not Exactly an Honor
To name a tunnel after the person it killed seems backward to me. Personally, I'd rather drive on the Milena Del Valle Memorial Overpass.
Why I vote no
I don't think they should name the place where she died after her. That's really a slap in the face. "Sorry our collective incompetence as a commonwealth killed you. Let's name the place and cause of your death in your honor."
I had a different idea.
how about...
...Bechtel/Parsons Superhighway Tunnel To Heaven?
Are you fucking serious?
Are you fucking serious?
It does not matter what we name it
Route 93 will always be the 'Big Dig' and the Pike connecter will forever be known as the place where somebody died.
After all, we are still giving directions using Route 128, and Route 3. Most of which is no longer Route 128, or Route 3.
Re-Name The Connector
Let's re-name the connector: The Boston White Male Greed Tunnel.....whoever is responsible for letting leeches like Bechtel and Modern Con make billions off this fiasco should be shot, and that goes for the Stormin' Mormon himself, the King of White Male Greed.
I'm no Romney fan, but ...
The construction or design errors that we're seeing now happened long before Romney took office.
