Anti-Israel rally in Copley Square
... The event's speakers included a number of young people recently returned from visiting relatives in Lebanon. The youth described their terrifying experiences surviving Israeli bombs and their escapes through Syria back to the United States.
Boston city Councilor Chuck Turner also spoke briefly. ...
Carpundit wondered where the cops were:
... I was too concerned to about the safety of my car to yell out at them, but their conduct was the conduct of the mobs you see on TV from the Middle East. Just without the rock throwing. There was yelling, flag-waving, honking, wild gesticulating. It was like a little invasion from the formerly occupied territories. There were plenty of apparently native anglo-looking Americans there, too. Many holding the "Victory to Hezbollah" signs. ...

another report on a different Lebanese rally
And here's a report from a similar rally last Friday, written by someone with a very hostile point of view.
Hostile?
A hostile point of view? Did you miss the part where the "victory for Hizbollah" people were threatening his life? Or did you mean that the demonstrators were hostile?
Hostile?
Solomon is hostile to Jew-hating, anti-America, terrorist supporters, yes. But I wouldn't call that a hostile point of view. I'd call it a rational one.
you're such an idiot mr- nameless- carpundit
There was no jew-hating at that rally. Israel hating on the other hand: perhaps hating a terrorist state isn't the worst thing ever. I mean after all the israeli campaign in lebanon fits the definition of terrorism to a T.
Anti-americanism? ehh the country has a 200+ year history of initiating wars, committing genocide, and institutionalizing racism, can you blame anyone for not being too hot on this country right now?
bzzzz.......
Wait, I think I hear a gnat. Or is it a small boy looking for his father's attention? Bad news, Dan. Even your Dad can't stand to listen to you.
It's ok Carpundit, daddy loves you too
The ability to do what these "terrorist supporters" did in Copley square is what makes this country great! A pro Israeli rally in Palestine, Syria, Iran, et-cetera would never fly... How about a pro Lebanon rally in Tel Aviv? Ha. Resorting to personal attacks against this kid (Dan) is just petty, seems like you're the one who could benifit from a hug from dad.
laws broken?
Carpundit, were laws being broken? I mean, "Victory to Hezbollah" signs suck (were they held by the same clueless white dudes who held them at the rally reported on Solmonia?), but they're not illegal. And flag-waving, yelling, honking, wild gesticulating? Sounds no more rowdy than the average crowd at a college basketball game.
