How not to blog: An example from the Globe

Borderline looks at the Globe's new Westword blog, which covers the western suburbs and goes ick: It consists almost entirely of promotional blurbs for items already in the paper and has no comments. In contrast:
The Newton Tab does a better job with its blog, which not only has comments enabled, but sometimes posts about issues that aren't covered in the Tab. Sure, the Tab uses the blog as a promotional tool, but it's also a real community resource and place for people to voice opinions.
