Grim satisfaction at Herald Square

Well, there might be some glee, too, but that's just so, oh, unseemly when talking about a bunch of murdering thugs like Mara Salvatrucha. Whatever. Jay, a Herald reporter, notes with satisfaction that the Christian Science Monitor and USA Today both call the gang, well, a bunch of murdering thugs, just like the Herald's been doing. He brings this up in connection with this post from an East Boston resident questioning why the Herald seems to think this therefore means Eastie is a blood-soaked gang hellhole where honest folks can't cross the street at night.
