Red Line train stopped at Porter as a 9/11 memorial

Joe Keohane reports he was on the Red Line this morning when the conductor announced the train would be stopping at Porter to remember the victims of 9/11:

... So he stopped at Porter, opened the doors, and we sat there for a few minutes looking at each other. ...

Then the conductor came out and gave a speech about 9/11, Keohane reports, wondering if this was just his train or if trains all over the (unprepared for terrorism) T system.
