The guy run over by the T bus

Jesse reports:
... As I approached Andrew Square, I saw TONS of police cars, and a potion of the street right at Andrew Station blocked off with the all-to-familiar yellow tape. An officer outside of my bank, upon my asking "Do you know what happened?" said "A bus hit someone." Yikes. I did my banking, and went to see if I could catch a bus or not. When I got closer, I realized that this person was not HIT, he was RUN OVER and mangled in the wheels. You could see a hat and shoes which had apparently flown off, but not the body. For that I am thankful. ...
Globe: Man killed when hit by T bus.

What a horrible story!!
As if the other stories, which I read and heard about weren't horrific enough, the idea of somebody getting run over by a bus really tops them all in terms of horror. Come to think of it, a good friend of mine was run over by a bus while jogging, and, while she survived, she was injured seriously enough so that she not only had a number of operations, but she spent the better part of a year in a wheelchair AND underwent extensive, intensive rehabilitation and physical therapy. It was rather rough on her.
Boy oh boy! As if the other news around wasn't horrible enough.

Come to think of it, a good friend of mine,(who was living out on the West Coast at the time, a number of years ago)was run over by a bus while she was jogging. Although she survived, her injuries were severe enough to need several operations, extensive and intensive rehabilitation and physical therapy, and the spending of the better part of a year in a wheelchair. What a tough time for her--fortunately she came out of it and was eventually able to walk, and her facilities are still there, thank heavens.
Jesse--it must've been a rough day for you after everything that happened. Sorry to hear that. Take care.
