Doggie smackdown on Beacon Hill

Jenn Martinelli vows to take on the bitchy Phillips Street lady who has complained to the city enough about dogs in the Phillips Street park that the city is now sending an animal-control officer down there:

... I hear you have been writing lots of letters. Really? I don't think you've seen lots of letters yet bi-atch. I have plenty of capacity to write letters, and emails, and so do plenty of other people.

This is a call for anyone in the city or especially in the Beacon Hill area who would like to use the Phillips Street park as a dog park, an off-leash dog park specifically, and who is sick of nasty people being jerks just for the sake of it. ...

There are no dog parks in the city. You were wrong to go in there with your dog. Was he or she even leashed?

You live in the city, where what you do has a lot of effect on others.

Be more considerate!

I suggest, highly, if you have a dog, that YOU move to Ohio. What kind of person are you that you would keep your dog kept in a small apartment on Beacon Hill, only able to go outside two times a day?

Take the dog to the Esplanade, or to the Arnold Aboretum, or somewhere more public.

You did something wrong, and someone called you on it.

Geezus.

Yes, but then you have to live in Ohio. And no one wants to do THAT.

Maybe you should move to OHIO and someone will take care of walking you.

First of all, do you live in Boston? There are dog parks in the city, genius. And dogs are allowed in non-dog parks as well. Maybe you should know what you're talking about before you lecture me.

Yes, my dog was leashed.

The park in question is a public park. If you mean I should take him to a LARGER park that's a different matter, and that's really up to me and none of your concern (but he also goes to the Common and the Esplanade). But the park I took him to is a city park and it's for the public, therefore it's for me, as a resident of the city.

I didn't in fact do anything wrong, the woman is just a nutcase who screams at people in an unreasonable manner.

And I lived in Ohio for several years, I'm done being there, thank you very much. It sucks there. Maybe they have room for you.
