Hyde Park Store 24: Thug magnet

The Store 24 at 1187 Hyde Park Ave. was robbed at gunpoint around 2:13 this morning, a week after it was held up at gunpoint and two months after somebody beat a clerk in the head with a gun during a robbery there.

Since that September beating, the Cleary Square area has also seen five stabbings (one fatal; three in the same incident) and one robbery at knifepoint.

... which Hyde Park basically is. Not to mention that it's the Mayor's neighborhood. What's going on there?

Beats me

I only noticed it last night when I was mapping the latest violent crimes for Boston Crime and I saw another report for the Store 24 on Hyde Park Avenue and I went "hmmm." Consider this a free tip for any MSM reporters who happen upon this item.

Large parts of Hyde Park are, indeed, suburbanish, but Cleary Square and River Street? Not so suburban. In fact, if you go back a few months, well, might make one appreciate living in Roslindale.
