Ken wonders who the new woman on the Bob's Discount Furniture ads is:
... The other women was hyper and real excited to sell sell sell. She seemed like Bob's better half. Now this one seems laid back and confident. ...
Ed. note: I was going to say something snarky about somebody who's obviously watching a bit too much TV, but then I remembered that the kidlet and I just can't get enough of "the Toyota lady," the woman who seems to spend her entire life getting in and out of her blue Corolla, so I should just shut up.

A makeover?
I contacted Bob's PR person in their marketing office and I was told the original women's name is Cathy and she is still the on air spokesperson with Bob. She might have a new look but it's the same Cathy. Anyone else seen the commercials? She looks totally diferent to me.
Maybe she followed the people on Extreme Makeovers and had one herself. Not that she needed one.

I cannot stand her
They need to get rid of her. I want to stick pencils in my ears during their commercials. She may be the most heinous actress ever in a commercial - with the shrewish wife from the Sunsetter (?) commercial shrieking "Tell them about the discount, Bob!" a close second.
(By the way, they are now playing ones with two guys - my immediate thought was it was a gay couple, but maybe it's supposed to be one guy selling his friend on a shade. But the friend keeps saying "what about the discount" just like the wife in the old commercial.)
Lastly, thank God they edited "David" and "Jen" in the Smoke Free in Three commercials. Jen sounds normal, David sounds like a humanoid. "It's dad, Jen. He has lung cancer."

Sorry, but I just don't find her anywhere near as pencil-in-ear-worthy as Bernie and Phyl.
