Boston already feels strange to him
Tim comes back from Raleigh, NC for Thanksgiving after a couple months down there and already Boston feels different:
... It was my first return, and the city somehow seemed very different to me. It was distant. There wasn't the same connection with it I had once loved and cherished. I was now an outsider. ...
On the plus side, he keeps running into Boston refugees in the Raleigh area.
The newest refugee is Abby, who moved over Thanksgiving weekend.

Hey, y'all! Just kidding.
Hey, y'all! Just kidding. Yes, I'm here and in a very hip coffee house borrowing free wifi. My friend has no internet, so I've been hitching off some neighbor with a REALLY weak signal. So far, I'm amazed at the smooth roads and low apartment costs. I've also been surprised at how many people here aren't from here. I've run into people from New York, Ohio, Florida, Egypt, Australia, Michigan, India, Korea, etc. It's like a city of wanderers. Anyhoo, I'm still reading and probably won't stop. I like to keep track of my Boston peeps.
