Four teens charged with Brighton home invasion

Boston Police report arresting teens from Brighton, Allston, Brockton and Dorchester for an early morning knifepoint home invasion on Nov. 24.

Police say the four broke into 45 Nottinghill Rd. around 2:40 a.m. that day and were in the kitchen when one of the home's occupants, himself a teen, woke up and found them in the kitchen. According to police:

One victim asked a male suspect, "What are you doing in my house?" and the suspect replied, "Where's money at?" Another male suspect, who was armed with a knife, approached the victims and asked if he had any "weed."

The Suffolk County District Attorney's office adds:

The teenager told them that he had none and, when asked who else was home, said that his parents were also in the residence.

The men spoke briefly among themselves before agreeing that "We should get out of here."

Police found them not long after on Comm. Ave., but released them for lack of evidence, the DA's office reports, adding:

Based on evidence developed in the days that followed, however – including evidence recovered during the execution of search warrants at [two of the suspects'] homes – detectives arrested the four today.

Leon McCoy, 19, of Dorchester, Peter Matthews, 18, of Brighton and Ricardo Delice, 18, of Brockton, were charged with home invasion, police say. Anthony S. Gilbert, 19, of Allston, was charged with intent to rob while armed.

Delice and McKoy were ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bail at their arraignments today; the other two will be arraigned Monday, the DA's office says.
