Holdups, attempted kidnapping on Boylston Street

By adamg - 12/17/06 - 1:22 pm

Police report some guy with a hunting knife tried robbing a priest at St. Francis Chapel on Boylston Street around 5:22 p.m. yesterday. The priest fled, the guy ran through the Sheraton, then robbed a flower shop on Mass. Ave.

This was about 15 minutes after an attempted abduction in front of the CVS at 587 Boylston St.:

... [H]is 10-year-old son was standing in front of the CVS when an unknown black male approached him from behind and put his jacket around the boy and tried to forcibly walk him down the street. The boy began to yell for his father who observed this and rescued his son by pulling him away from the suspect. ...

In that incident, police arrested a suspect.
