MBTA bus fire

do you know just how safe the bus you ride in the morning really is. well for 35+ passengers (including my fiance) on a bus friday morning(1/5/07) it wasnt. the back of the bus caught on fire, and the passengers had trouble getting out. so i want to know what mbta is going to do to fix the problem so if something bad happens again passengers wont have trouble getting out.

what bus route, and when? Somehow, this got a lot less attention than Fung Wah.

I'm sure it was scary, but it doesn't exactly sound like a near-death experience. Was there a problem with the emergency windows? It'd be helpful to have a little more background.

my fiance said it was the mbta bus that goes to long island, bus #276
he was on it but thatnfully no one was hurt. he said they had trouble getting out.
