Train vs. snow: Train wins

They were in front of their own driveway

It looks like they were shoveling the snow out from the driveway leading to the house on the right. You can see they are careful to never get more than a few inches in front wheel of the tire on the car stopped behind the far crossing gate.


That "house" is a multi-unit condo building that has a service to shovel them out and deal with garbage and basic maintenance. They were out about four times during the storm starting late Friday through Saturday afternoon, so tenants didn't have any cause to shovel by that time on Saturday.

I know this because I live in the white house in the middle of the frame in the video.

So yeah, that person was almost certainly not where s/he should have been WRT the tracks. We seem to get one train/car fender bender per year here, and the last death was 29 August 2008 at 23:40 (yes, I kept notes).
