Beth rounds up local blogger notes and says what needs to be said about Trot Nixon's exit:

I know baseball teams are businesses and not charity organizations, and that this was a necessary move, but the guy's never worn any other uniform. Come on, he hasn't been gone that long. If you can get Daisuke correct, you should be able to spell "Trot."
Mr. Nixon may love Jesus more than I do, and and we may disagree on many things philosophically, but that man was a helluva ballplayer for us. One of the few true Dirt Dogs in Boston baseball history. Good luck in Cleveland, Champ!
I blame the bathroom cleaner

We're doing some cleaning today - I must've inhaled too much of the cleaner spray. Yeah, that's it :-). Now that I'm not seeing double anymore, I've fixed his name.
