Like, OMG, I got Sox tickets

Sure, it took 2 hours and 15 minutes (but who's counting?) in the "virtual waiting room" (even with the four browsers on two computers), but no way was I going to get shut out like last year (when I foolishly waited until 5 p.m. the day they went on sale to try to get tickets). So, July 18 against Kansas City, here we come.

Maybe if I had tried to get in exactly at 10 a.m., when the system opened, instead of 10:01 a.m., I might have gotten in right away like Amy (Martin, however, was not so lucky).

Jody gets shut out, as well, so instead she buys three tickets to a Sox/Orioles game in Baltimore:

... I am going to find a fancy-pants hotel with a fantastic view, and I will get to enjoy a game in one of the parks I have ALWAYS wanted to visit. I am actually far more excited about this than I would be if I picked up 3 tickets for a home game. ...

Sox tickets.

We did that last year and plan to do it again this year. Baltimore is AWESOME! Be sure and go to Faidley's in the Lexington Market for the best crabcakes around. There are LOTS of fellow Sox fans as well.
