Filene's Basement says it will return to Downtown Crossing bigger 'n' badder

The Boston Business Journal quotes a BRA spokesman as saying the store will return to its Downtown Crossing location in 2009 and will rent two stories in the new Filene's building - in addition to the actual basement.

*sigh* I guess this means the once floated idea of putting a Target in the old Filene's space is dead. :(

I'm sure Filene's Basement will return about the same time as an E-Line train pulls into the Arborway station.
