Never walk across Rte. 9

Sharon Gartenberg crunches accident data from the state and determines that 40% of all pedestrian accidents in Framingham happen on just three roads: Rte. 9, Waverly Street and Concord Street. She provides a query tool and a map - which really makes it look like cars play whack-a-walker quite often on the Rte. 126 corridor from Rte. 9 to downtown Framingham.

I've commuted on Rte. 9 for several years and my unscientific observation is that some of the worst drivers I've ever seen are on that road during rush hour. They also seem to drive Volvos in greater numbers than elsewhere.

Beware the Ford Focus of Doom

It's red and is in need of some serious paintwork on the left. In other words, I have nothing left to lose as I toodle down the Ted Williams Highway, bwa-ha-ha!

I'm not worried about you--you seem to be a sensible sort.

I think I'll paint "Fung Wah" on the side of my Rav4--that'll keep them away from me!
