They must have trained the folks in Newton . . .
. . . where you cannot walk from the sidewalk to a crosswalk because the City plows have left a mound of ice and snow at each place, including at every handicapped sidewalk ramp in Newton Center. Today, two days after the storm, I saw a teenager almost slip off the icy mound into ongoing traffic. Imagine an elderly or infirm person trying to climb over a foot or two of snowbank.
They also managed to block the entrance of the MBTA steps on Braeland Road. So, you jump from the street over the ice and hope to land safely on the top step of the concrete stairway on your way down to the train track.
