Boston cop only gets probation for shooting fellow officer

Paul Durkin and Joseph Behnke were both off-duty, at Behnke's West Roxbury home last June 22, when Durkin shot him during an argument over whether Behnke was sober enough to drive home, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.

Durkin admitted to pulling the trigger on his Glock semi-automatic, firing once and hitting Behnke in the hip. He was sentenced to three years' probation on the charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and ordered to undergo evaluation for alcohol abuse. He had been scheduled to start trial this week.

Wow, so you admit to

Wow, so you admit to shooting a cop while drunk and fleeing the scene and you don't do a day in jail!

Oh, great!!

Just because he's a cop who drunkenly shot another cop, he gets off, I suppose. Oh, boy--what a soap opera.

The Elite Ruling Class

Membership has its privileges.

This is a disgrace and an insult to the taxpayers writing their paychecks.

Question: Is that a felony charge? If so, has the officer's license to carry a firearm been revoked? And have all his personal firearms been removed from his possession?

The last one's easy to answer...

"My wife has a license to carry and all those guns are hers now."

Uh-huh.

Tell me this guy is no

Tell me this guy is no longer a police officer. I mean, he can't ADMIT to shooting a fellow cop while DRUNK and LEAVE the scene and KEEP his job, right? They did fire him, RIGHT????
