Will he ever return?

Charlie on the MBTA has gone invitation only. Shortly before he did this, Charlie, a.k.a. Kevin Vahey, denied the charges involving the disappearance of a Jimmy Fund donation from a Red Sox fan site (as summed up here, but offered no further specifics except that "you will quickly discover that somebody else you trusted was the villain").

Ed. note: I knew about the allegations awhile ago, but held off posting about them because I really admired what Kevin had done with his T site and wanted to give him a chance to respond. The offer's still open. I guess I should leave journalism to the professionals.

No, you are reading it correctly. Kevin allegedly stole the money, thousands of dollars, in 2004 and basically dropped off the face of the earth immediately thereafter. It wasn't until his blogsite got national publicity a few months ago did his victims find him.

With his blogsite invitation only, I was wondering if he's even accepting people at all... no one viewing his blog means no more money.

Kevin Vahey has been frequently posting on www.BlueMassGroup.com. Although I cannot find the link, I seem to recall the Mr. Vahey attended a symposium on the state legislative process recently - he talked about it in one of his posts. Perhaps, Mr. Vahey is training to become a corrupt politician. He's off to a good start....allegations about financial shenanigans, hiding from the public, denying that anything happened, deleting comments that question him, and now going completely mum.

Kevin e-mailed me a cellphone number last week, but he has yet to answer that number even though I've called it numerous times.

Perhaps I am confusing him with someone else. But some one has been posting under the name "Charley on the MTA". My apologies if I have confused this with someone else.

That is most definitely a different person. He even spells Charley differently. He's one of the three founders of Blue Mass. Group.
