Rambling in the rain

Doubleperf ran in today's James Joyce Ramble 10K in Dedham, which featured people reading excerpts of Joyce to the runners:

... The volunteers reading to us were terrific, though in a setting like that, you can only really catch a few words at a time (especially if it's Gaelic): "The door opened and ..." or "... and what he meant by that was..." or my favorite, "He apologized for the disorderly room..." The thousands of gallons of free Harpoon beer at the end of the day was a plus, as well.
