What else is new
The Fenway Kenmore area has never been the best place for this sort of stuff - there are lots of people who don't live there coming for nightlife or sox games and the local criminal element thinks drunk tourists and hapless suburbanites are great targets.
Add in the young suburbanites who think going into the city for the night and causing trouble and starting fights is fun and you have a winning combo for crime - at least for the 23 years I've been around.
So I'm not too surprised if the cops aren't doing much about the situation.
