The Beth Israel doctor who doesn't like gays

Beth Israel Deaconess CEO Paul Levy reports that when the hospital holds an annual event to recognize people who have made "significant contributions within the gay and lesbian community," he always gets a letter from one doctor "disgusted" at the hospital's glorification of "an inherently unhealthy, risky lifestyle (that is) offensive to members of the BIDMC who hold to moral principles and traditional values."

Levy adds, however, that the awards will continue:

... Yes, every now and then, the CEO gets to make a decision. This one is easy. ...

but it is only one doctor who has ever sent such a letter, and he sends a similar one each year.

Dr. Committee?

I take it his last name is "Committee" because I doubt he is speaking other than for himself.

Thank you for making it clear that he must be a doctor first, a bigot second.
