The Globe and Jackson Square

Third Decade reads the Globe Magazine series on how we'll be commuting from New Hampshire to Boston in our jet cars soon and wonders why the Globe called Jackson Square "one of Boston's notoriously violent neighborhoods:"

Jackson Square is by no means a model neighborhood, but it's not nearly the desolate hellhole this blurb makes it seem. I understand that the media is often biased and unreliable when it comes to fully portraying a neighborhood; but come on! It'd be nice if the Globe got around to investigating and reporting why it's taking the development team so long to break ground with the proposed projects. It's been delayed a couple of years already with no explanation why. Now that would be an article I'd be interested in reading.

Ed. unrelated question: Am I the only one who thinks that proposed Greenway history museum (click on the Globe link above to see it) looks like a sandworm from "Dune"?

I was totally going to write about how Moshe Safdie's plans for the Boston History Museum look like one of the worms from Dune.

I think the dune worm question has been asked before.
