Massholism doesn't pay: Dorchester man charged with slicing up two guys in traffic dispute

A Dorchester man faces charges he stabbed two Brookline men in Allston early on June 8, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office says.

Richard Wallace, 26, is charged with armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, threats and common affray.

According to a statement by the DA's office, Wallace and some friends tried pulling into a small parking area at Harvard and Commonwealth avenues but got into an argument with four guys standing where they wanted to park their car. The four men started to leave in their own car, Wallace and friends began yelling at them, the four guys got out and a rumble was on. Only Wallace and one of his friends had something they didn't, prosecutors allege:

At this point, Wallace and another man allegedly produced knives and Wallace began circling them, saying, "someone is going to the hospital."

In the physical fight that followed, one victim - a 22-year-old Brookline man - was stabbed on the forearms, shoulder, upper torso, and under the left shoulder. Another victim, also 22 and of Brookline, was stabbed as well, and his car tires were slashed before the assailant and his friends fled the scene on foot. ...

The four guys managed to regroup:

The victims followed the attackers to their vehicle and surrounded it to prevent them from driving off. One of the male victims went up to the defendant's car armed with a golf club, which he then used to smash the rear window of the vehicle as it left the area.

Detectives were able to use the shards of glass to trace the car to the Fields Corner Glass Co., where employees fingered Wallace.
