Orioles fans can't figure out why nobody wants to go to their games
Red notes that the dozen or so Orioles fans still left are planning a "Take Back the Yard" night when the Sox play in Baltimore on Sept. 8. The general plan seems to be to act like Yankees bleacher creatures toward Sox players and fans.
Of course, none of this would be necessary if enough actual Orioles fans bothered to buy tickets to the team's games to begin with. Back when I spent a couple of frustrating hours trying to buy Sox tickets online (ooh, our game is next week), strictly out of curiosity, I went to the Orioles site, where I discovered that you could buy up to 20 tickets per game.

Could be worse
At least they have a nice park that people want to visit from out of town. Imagine if you were a Devil Rays fan (is there such a thing?), sitting indoors, watching the only MLB team that has never finished above .430.
With fans like those, they need enemies
Neal Shaffer proposes to "make life hell in every (legal) way we can for Red Sox fans," and says that "at every step of the way we’re going to make it clear — through non-violent means — that Red Sox fans are not welcome here." If scumbags like Shaffer are taking over Camden Yards, it's no wonder that legitimate fans would rather stay away.
Red Sox fans at Oriole Park.
That's just great. My husband and I go to Baltimore to watch the Sox and Orioles play and to consume as much crab as is humanly possible. We are NOT drunken louts, we spend a fair amount of money in the area and we cheer heartily for the Sox.
I really don't won't to be harrassed by punks looking to cause trouble. i hope this plan fades into oblivion.
