See the declining crime stats for yourself

The Globe does a good job analyzing the most recent Boston crime stats. You can see the stats on which the story is based here. Unless you're a real fan of Boston Police district borders, you'll also probably need this map to figure out which stats apply to which parts of the city.

yeah
And the Globe article does not mention that Roslindale even exists. Apparently, we are just a province of West Rox.
I've only lived in Roz for three months and I already have a chip on my shoulder.
The media, the police and neighborhoods
Eh, par for the course. The map is based on the Boston police-district map, and since E-5's headquarters is in West Roxbury, it's understandable how some graphics person not from around here might leave us out. For what it's worth, there's considerable overlap among those districts and neighborhoods, elsewhere as well - that's why the Globe and Herald are forever getting neighborhoods wrong in crime stories; they rely on the police, who tell them the district, which isn't always the same as the neighborhood.
Hold the phone ...
Anyone else see anything wrong with this picture?
That's really, really sad.
What that someone is
What that someone is actually brave enough to walk down Geneva Ave or that a 15 year old has a 5 week old baby?
HEY EVERYONE
HOW ABOUT WE GO AROUND JUDGING PEOPLE AND PLACES BASED ON HEARING ONE OR TWO THINGS ABOUT THEM?
DOESN'T THAT SOUND LIKE FUN?!OMG!!!111ONE
Well...
When that "one thing" is a fifteen year old girl with a 5-week old baby, I reserve the right to judge.
It's sickening.
