You can take the boy out of Hyde Park, but ...

Awww: Hyde Park native Manny Delcarmen recently gave the Boston Public Schools a $10,000 check for use at the Grew Elementary School in Hyde Park - the proceeds of a charity event he organized at Ron's Gourmet Ice Cream and Bowling in, no surprise, Hyde Park (and yes, it is all kinds of awesome that Hyde Park has an ice cream place that doubles as a bowling alley).

What I love about the photo (click on it for a large version) is that, even without a tie, and even when standing next to Wally, acting Superintendent Michael Contompasis looks exactly what you'd expect a former headmaster of Boston Latin School to look like.
