East Boston mattress fire being treated as suspicious; one resident resists removal

The Boston Fire Department [2] reports a fire shortly after 10 p.m. at 61 Eutaw St. brought firefighters, EMTs and police.

The fire, which started in a mattress, is now being looked at by arson investigators, the department says, adding that while EMTs were brought in to evaluate four residents - two of whom were taken to the hospital - police were summoned "for assistance with an occupant."
