Angel Carraquillo is planning a Dec. 1 opening for Mana Escondido Cafe, 68 Pembroke St. [2], where he says he'll dish up Puerto Rican specialties such as mofongo [3], as well as some dishes he says are currently unavailable anywhere in Massachusetts.
The offices of the mayor and at-large City Councilor Felix Arroyo declared themselves "delighted" and "extremely excited," respectively, at a Boston Licensing Board hearing on the proposal on Wednesday.
Mana Escondido will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
