How many crashes need to happen before we even start to think about changing Storrow/Soldiers Field? @universalhubGradon Tripp
. @gradontripp @universalhub Maybe if dumbasses didn't ignore the multiple signs saying "cars only" and noting the height clearance...Matt Soleyn
. @gradontripp @universalhub Let's just bury the entire roadway and make a park above it. That worked once before...Matt Soleyn
RT @GrooPunk: @gradontripp @MattSoleyn @universalhub Maybe we should bubble wrap all sharp & semi-sharp edges of everything too.Ellen B
I really do not understand how this happens, signs everywhere“@universalhub: 32 passengers injured, 3 critically. Soldiers Field Rd.”Michael Macasek
@gradontripp @universalhub I drive an overheight truck. Any driver of such vehicles knows it is part of job to watch for low bridgesRussell Laverty
@onlyanumber @universalhub Exactly. The “Cars Only” signs will hit an oversize vehicle. Maybe they need another set that says “We Mean It!”Philip Borenstein

@universalhub I don't think native Bostonians understand how bizarre the low bridges on Storrow/Soldiers Field are to non-natives.Robin
@universalhub @kethera The ped overpass on Mem Drive got new ones last year and they are already busted (flashing all the time).Garrett Wollman
@caulkthewagon @universalhub Low bridges might be more common here, but the signs saying how tall they are are the same elsewhere.Ian Adams
@universalhub People keep saying to me, "but there are signs!" Yeah, there are signs, but people ignore them. The signs aren't a solution.Robin
@caulkthewagon lots of things are bizarre about Boston- but bizarre or not, the signs are RIGHT THERE. @universalhubSilverDreams
@caulkthewagon @universalhub I'm not a native, but I am literate. There is no excuse for ignoring the signsKatherine Sniffen
@universalhub Maybe now those ancient defunct neon "Warning overheight vehicle" signs will actually be repaired/replaced?kethera
@universalhub @christophesg let's have the city get the road removed from Sat Nav units. Then it will be a locals only road.Pip
@gradontripp @universalhub I'd argue that we should close the highway and restore the public park along the riverfront as Storrow envisionedLiam Sullivan
@Othemts @universalhub And send all the cars... where?Anne Hedonia
@caulkthewagon @universalhub there are plenty of parkways w low bridges around NYC, Long Island and CT. Its not unique, these are old rdsGreg Niforos
@universalhub I once cleared the warning bar to get on storrow but had to get off because a bridge was 2 ft lower than bar. Need consistencyRyan O. Ferguson
