Karl's Sausage in Saugus should either have it or know where.

Market Basket in Chelsea has some odd meat products every so often. I'd call the store (617-884-0646) before heading over so they can check to see.

I have seen them at Market Basket before. I'd tease my daughter that that's what we're having for dinner.

My grandfather loved pigs feet. Glad I never got the chance to watch him eat them.

Haxe are definitely not pigs feet.

I am sure that you can find these in some of the meat markets in Widdett Circle, between South Bay and Southhampton street. I have been able to find all sorts of meat that is not typically found in super markets. Try Lord Jim's or any other. They are wholesale markets but welcome the general public. Also, many asian markets, such as Super 88 often carry meat that is atypical in Stop and Shops, Star etc.

Just to clarify, since some folks responding both on Twitter and in comments here seem to be confused: Haxe, AKA pork knuckle, is NOT the same as pig's feet. (BTW, pig's feet are pretty readily available - an officemate gets them for quarterly suturing classes from the Mission Hill Stop & Shop.)

Pork knuckle is more commonly known around here as hock - not too hard to find smoked, but possibly a bit more challenging to get fresh.

...or, if she wants pickled pig knuckles, I think I've seen them in the grocery store next to the Marshall's on Warren Street, south of Dudley

Lord Jeff's at Newmarket Square. Boston's Best Kept Secret! You won't have to pay gentrified yuppy prices, either, and they cut them to order! Don't be put off by ungentrified location, either. This little hole in the wall is an awesome butcher shop loved by Yelpers as well. They've been around for years and they are the friendliest around. Their meats are superb and the butcher will cut and carve it right in front of you! And remember....LOW and SLOW cooking equals melt-in-yur-mouth tender! Of course, if money is no object to you, you can go to Savenor's or Whole Foods.

Let me stress I said NEWmarket Square and definitely not HAYmarket Square! Lord Jeff's is in Newmarket Square.

AFB in Hyde Park has an awesome selection of lesser-seen meats; I'd suggest calling or stopping in.
