Cambridge Day reports a Somerville bicyclist died after an SUV driver opened his door on Broadway on Friday just as the bicyclist was passing by.

Storm lets loose over Nahant

Joan was at Nahant Beach this afternon when the storm showed up and just burst right over her head. She managed to get a couple of good shots "just before we grabbed our stuff and made a mad dash for the car."

The US Department of Labor yesterday sued Sound Bites Cafe and its owner, Yasser Mirza, on charges he reacted to an employee seeking back overtime pay by threatening to have something bad happen to his family unless he called off federal investigators looking into the issue. Read more.

Mouhab Rizkallah, who owns a number of apartment buildings, today agreed to drop his libel suit against two student journalists at the Tufts University newspaper who wrote about a protest about one of this buildings, but is continuing to sue one of the people he said organized the protest for defamation. A Somerville landlord says the Tufts Daily wouldn't correct a mistake in a story about a protest outside his office that made him sound like a liar, so now he's suing its two top editors for $50,000 in Middlesex Superior Court to make up for the libel, emotional distress and invasion of privacy he claims he suffered.
