Update: Victim identified: Frederick Hines, 39, of South Boston.

State Police report a man on a 2016 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide "went off the roadway, struck the raised curb, entered the grass median and struck a tree" on a curve at Columbia Road and Babe Ruth Park Drive around 2:40 a.m.

He was taken to Tufts Medical Center, where he was declared dead.

The Boston Licensing Board today approved a plan to replace the closed Daily Catch at the Moakley Courthouse with a bar catering to hard chargers who need to unwind with a cocktail in hand as they watch the sun go down after a long day arguing in court or creating new wonder drugs in a nearby life-sciences lab. On Oct. 1, 2002, an explosion started what became a nine-alarm fire at the L Street power plant in South Boston. By the time it was over, firefighters were doused with toxic lubricating oil so thick some had to take off their respirators to breathe. Read more.

Boston EMS reports that after first responders rushed to the old L Street power plant after a floor collapsed while workers were demolishing it this afternoon, they were able to remove two injured workers fairly quickly, but the most seriously wounded man remained trapped in the rubble. Read more.

WCVB reports one worker was seriously injured and two others also hurt during demolition work at the former L Street Boston Edison plant, being mostly torn down to make way for a mixed-use development. The most critically injured person remains trapped in rubble at the site.

It's the second collapse at a Boston demolition site this year. In March, a worker died at the old Government Center Garage.

270 Dorchester Ave. proposal in South Boston

Correction: The story has been updated to reflect the fact that the new owner will follow the regular public process for development and that the proposal seeks will have 17% of its units as affordable. Also, while the developer was formerly called Novaya, it is rebranding as Foxfield LLC.

A condo project at 270 Dorchester Ave. that was first approved in 2017 but which is currently South Boston's version of the old Filene's hole could finally get built under a new owner. Read more.

Robinson Lalin died in a Red Line tunnel just past Broadway station because he tried to exit the train through the one door on which a mechanism intended to keep the train from moving if it wasn't fully closed failed, the National Transportation Safety Board reported this morning. Read more.

City Councilors Ed Flynn and Michael Flaherty want answers after they learned from a parent that a live .45 round was found in a restroom at the Condon K-8 School on D Street, just a few days after a "a piece of paper or literature was also found at the school earlier this week displaying Nazi swastikas." A former Lowell man now living in Florida was charged with federal human-trafficking and gun charges yesterday stemming from his arrest last year at a Revere hotel, near the one where he allegedly used threats of force and a gun to keep two Oregon women turning tricks for him via ads on various "adult" Web sites. Transit Police and Boston firefighters responded to the inbound side of the Andrew Red Line station around 10:40 p.m. after a man somehow wound up on the tracks, bleeding from the head, next to the third rail as a train was coming in.

The man was not under the train, so firefighters were able to quickly get him off the tracks and hand him over to Boston EMS for transport to a local hospital.

WBZ reports the NTSB says Robinson Lalin was getting off the Red Line at Broadway around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday when his arm was trapped by a door and he was dragged to his death.
