State Street
Finn provides a before and after at State Street on the Orange Line: A couple weeks ago, the T put up a new train-arrival board - which it then blocked today by putting a sign pointing the way to the Blue Line.
How dead was it? So dead the T had the train behind it push it out of the way.
The MBTA reports Orange Line delays towards Forest Hills of up to ten minutes because of a train with door problems at State. Specifically, this train.
The Globe reports somebody was taken to Massachusetts General in bad shape after being hit by a vehicle at Merchants Row and State Street around 9 a.m. Because of the severity of the person's injuries, the homicide and fatal-crash reconstruction units were called in.
The Boston Fire Department reports it'll be conducting a high-rise training exercise at 60 State St. on Saturday morning, and that part of that includes the use of smoke.
The MBTA is reporting delays of up to 20 minutes on the Orange Line, due to a train that had to be taken out of service outbound at State Street, due to the sort of problems that won't happen when the new trains get here, um, whenever. Or as Karyn with a Y put it:

An Encino, CA man was arrested today on charges he called the Boston Globe more than a dozen times threatening to kill its workers - including one call in which he allegedly threatened to shoot employees in the head at 4 p.m. on the day it published a pro-newspaper editorial. Read more.

NBC Boston reports two men are expected to survive being stabbed outside 165 State St. around 2:30 a.m.
The MBTA reports delays of up to 10 minutes on the Orange Line due to an Oak Grove train with "a mechanical problem" at State Street.
As if all the other mishegas on the T today weren't enough, Erinn Larson reports a Blue Line got stuck at State Street for some 15 minutes this afternoon, not because of any mechanical problems, but because of one of the T's more charming underground denizens - a guy with a bicycle, a shopping cart filled with lots of stuff - and a deep and abiding anger at something or other.
