Shaquille Brown, 24, was scheduled to be formally sentenced to life without possibility of parole today after a Suffolk Superior Court jury found him guilty of first-degree murder for the June 28, 2017 murder of Christopher Austin on Ashmont Street. Read more.

UPDATE: The victim, Christopher Austin, 20, died.
Around 10 a.m. on Ashmont Street between Waldorf and Ocean streets. The homicide unit was called in due to the severity of the victim's injuries.
