A 14-year-old police say shot his 9-year-old brother to death this morning will be arraigned on charges of involuntary manslaughter and illegal weapons possession next week, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Boston Police report a man and a woman, both in their 20s, were fatally shot around 2:45 a.m. outside 92 Rosewood St.
They are Boston's seventh and eighth murder victims this year.
Family and friends are mourning the death of Rick "Slick" Knight, a barber, father and uncle who was gunned down shortly before 6 p.m. in the barber shop at the rear of Good Eats at 996 Tremont St.
He is Boston's third murder victim this month.
The shop is a couple blocks away from where Joseph Morante was shot to death last year.
UPDATE, Friday: William Earl, was ordered held without bail on a charge of murder for the death of Samuel Constant, 19.
A man was stabbed to death in the Georgetowne development on the Hyde Park/West Roxbury line shortly before 6 p.m., Boston Police report.
The victim's alleged murderer was taken to a local hospital for treatment of what police say is a non-life-threatening stab wound of his own.
Police say the murder, the first of the year, happened during a fight at 139 Margaretta Dr.
A man was taken away in critical condition following a beating and stabbing around 5 p.m. at Bell's Market, 246 Dorchester St.
Boston EMS Incidents reports that about an hour later, another man was stabbed around the corner from the market on E. 9 St.
On Friday night, a teen was stabbed on Gates Street, about three blocks away.
UPDATE: Boston Police confirm the man died.
Around 10:15 p.m. at Clifton and Albion. The homicide unit was called in.
Police are looking for a black Chrysler Sebring with two occupants and a white Ford SUV with tinted windows and two occupants, both seen leaving the scene. Also a person of interest: A black man, about 20, in a dark hoodie and gray pants, seen running from the scene.
Angeliea Brown, 33, of Dorchester, is scheduled for arraignment tomorrow for the death of Winston Fields, 73, in his apartment at 2311 Washington St. sometime last month, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Fields was last seen alive on Aug. 9; his body was found Aug. 14.
UPDATE: Friends and family identify the victim as Nelson B. Castillo, 25, of Roslindale. He leaves his wife and young daughter.

This was the eighth shooting in Boston on Saturday but the only fatal one.
Last December, a man was fatally shot in the head at 20 Brookway Terrace, followed the next month by a woman being shot to death a couple blocks away on Fawndale Rd. In April, cars were shot up at 80 Archdale.
Boston Police report they are investigating how two men came to be lying on Greenwood Street early this morning, one of them dying in the middle of the street from what appeared to be serious head injuries, the other collapsed on a resident's porch with serious stab wounds.
Around 9:40 p.m. Boston Police report the victim was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police are looking for two black men, both in hoodies, one in light jeans, one in dark jeans, who shot the victim, then ran across Blue Hill Avenue and towards H Block.
