Police have surrounded a building on Homestead Street between Walnut Avenue and Harold Street this afternoon, where they think somebody responsible for a shooting at Homestead and Walnut might be holed up. The homicide unit was summoned.
An argument on a 44 bus on Humboldt Avenue this morning ended in a fatal knife fight, according to the MBTA and the Boston Globe.
