The Herald reports that Ernie Boch, one of its advertisers and an Inside Track crush (Gals just love him to pieces), is offering ~~no money down~~ $2,000 for the identity of Ernie Boch III, so that Howie Carr can ~~taunt him mercilessly~~ "terrorize" him.

Bob Nelson reports on the Boston Radio List that he was listening to Carr on WRKO this afternoon and the car dealer came on down and said:

He is not the Ernie Boch III, who's calling for a boycott of Carr's advertisers on Blue Mass. Group (and on tried on Red Mass. Group, where the reaction was a bit less friendly).

The Herald digs deep and uncovers Blue Mass. Group's nasty little secret: It's run by - you are sitting down, I hope - people who want to elect Democrats:

The Blue Mass Group bloggers have never tried to hide their lefty allegiances, but their latest stunt puts to rest any misconception that the site is anything other than an activist network.

And what is that stunt? Hiring people to throw tomatoes at John McCain? Posting diatribes about Mitt Romney? No, far, far worse: They've organized a, gasp, fundraising concert for Barack Obama. Those activist scoundrels, good thing we have Dave Wedge to clear up any misconceptions.

Hub Politics uses a quote from an eight-year-old Watertown Tab article to slam Chris Gabrieli. Blue Mass. Group goes aha - no way could the Margolis Brothers have found that quote themselves, therefore, the Healey campaign is feeding its oppo research to the blog. Bonus: The current editor of the Watertown Tab jumps into the fray.
