The Cambridge Chronicle reports Cambridge Police have arrested the guy they say was going around town soliciting donations for Greenpeace, then keeping the money for himself.

A Greenpeace representative offered some handy tips for differentiating between legitimate Greenpeaceniks and grifters. For starters, Greenpeace no longer goes door to door. Also, the workers always have Greenpeace attire on and have Greenpeace literature at the ready.

Like you need another reason to be annoyed with Greenpeace canvassers. Via David Harris comes this Cambridge PD alert about a guy going around saying he's collecting money for Greenpeace - but keeping the money for himself.

ROY TUCKER HAS BEEN GOING DOOR TO DOOR IN THE CAMBRIDGE AREA FOR THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS POSING AS A GREENPEACE FUNDRAISER AND COLLECTING CASH AND CHECKS. DETECTIVE GRASSI HAS BEEN INFORMED BY GREENPEACE ATTORNEY TOM WETTERER THAT ROY TUCKER HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GREENPEACE. PLEASE IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE CAMBRIDGE POLICE DEPARTMENT IF MR. TUCKER ATTEMPTS TO RAISE MONEY IN THE NAME OF GREENPEACE.

While I agree with many of the causes these people represent, I am so frigging tired of being stopped multiple times when I try to walk from my office to wherever I'm going for lunch, every SINGLE DAY, today I just snapped. The poor Greenpeace kid...I hope he realizes it wasn't personal. But I just want to be left alone. Is that SO WRONG?
