Trains die on three of four subway lines

So far this morning trains have had to be taken out of service on the Red, Orange and Riverside lines. The E Line is stopping at Brigham Circle because of a car accident further up the line. No word yet from the Blue Line.

D line shut down, buses, commuter rail delayed, MBTA Web site dead

Buses along the D this morning after a trolley decided it couldn't stand being on the tracks any longer (Ed. question: At Reservoir?).

Police searching for serial exposer at Reservoir

MBTA Transit Police report they are looking for a 50-something guy who keeps exposing himself to passengers on the Green Line at Reservoir:

It has been determined this subject frequents the MBTA Green Line “D” area and has exposed himself on more than one occasion and to several MBTA patrons.

Expect delays on the D Line during Memorial Day weekend

If you're staying in town for the long Memorial Day Weekend, you'll want to be aware that the D Line will be out of service from Saturday through Monday night. Buses will be in service to provide transportation between Reservoir and Fenway subway stations, according to the MBTA.

This is not how I like to find out about service disruptions:

The MBTA employees on site were as surprised as I was - they had only found out about it shortly before my arrival.

Personally, I'm tired of waiting for the MBTA web site to become fully functional
