BrennionThe MBTA reports police officers interrupted a possible drug sale at Andrew station on the Red Line yesterday morning.

According to a police report, MBTA and Boston officers in the station noticed Stephen Brennion, 31, a man known to them, sitting on the outbound platform with another guy shortly before noon yesterday:

Nelson MBTA Transit Police report arresting a man wanted for a probation violation for armed robbery and home invasion at the Andrew stop on the Red Line this morning.

Police say Samuel Nelson, 23, formerly of Dorchester, was letting a woman companion "piggyback" with him after he tapped his CharlieCard at the fare gate around 10:30 a.m. - as plainclothes officers were patrolling the fare area. In a report, one of the officers writes:

The hawk that spent a week trapped inside the Andrew stop on the Red Line is scheduled to be released into the wild today, the Wildlife Clinic at Tufts's Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine reports.

After more than a week trapped inside the Andrew T stop, a red-tailed hawk was successfully captured with the help of a professional bird-catching company, according to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, which tweets:

The hawk from the MBTA station has some head & eye trauma, but is in relatively good condition. It is being kept comfortable. X-rays pending.

Channel 5 reports the hawk trapped inside the Andrew station on the Red Line has been there for a week now. The Animal Rescue League tried again, for the second day, to free it, without success.

Those pesky switches. A kaput'ed switch at Andrew this morning meant massive delays along the Red Line. Chris McCarthy tweeted around 8:45:

Train hasn't moved in 20 min. To top it off a passenger in my cab just passed out. Oh, Monday.

Good to know that, if people see you unconscious on the tracks at Andrew Station, and the Red Line is approaching, they'll jump down to help.
