Wicked Local Cambridge reports police arrested an out-of-state man on charges he beat and kicked his wife in the middle of the mall while bystanders did nothing, save for one woman who finally tried to stop the attack:

Another witness told police Le hit his wife in the head, knocked her to the ground and then dragged her by her arm. When she realized no one in the surrounding area was going to help the woman, the witness confronted Le and asked him to stop, but he allegedly waved her off, saying the victim was his wife.

An empty mall

Cambridge Police report a woman summoned police to the cafe in the Borders on Saturday afternoon when:

[S]he was waiting for an order at the food counter and a customer waiting behind her became irate on how long it was taking and began pushing her and yelling at her to hurry up. The male suspect denied the incident.

Sears is a store ahead of its time

Or maybe they forgot to take down their displays from the '80s - because they are also selling leg warmers.

Cambridge Police report:

On 9/30/08 at 6:18 PM, an employee at a kiosk in the CambridgeSide Galleria Mall reported being punched in the stomach and threatened by an employee who is known to him from another kiosk.

Cambridge Police report on four recent incidents at CambridgeSide Galleria:

On Friday morning, an employee of the Old Navy Store allegedly took a customer's debit card and used it to buy a cell phone at the Mobile Solution Store. The customer caught up with the employee at the Lechmere T stop and confronted her. The woman gave the card back, but when the victim demanded to know about the unauthorized purchase, the clerk "struck the victim in the chest area." She then fled, leaving the cell phone behind.

On Saturday afternoon, a Boston resident told police a woman managed to get her credit-card information at the Sephora store, then left.

On Sunday afternoon, a clerk at an unidentified second-floor store allegedly slapped a customer when she didn't move out of his way fast enough for him:

The victim was shopping with her two children and had a visible red mark on her right cheek. The suspect admitted that he struck the victim and felt he did nothing wrong because he told her to move. The suspect was informed that he would receive a summons in the mail.

Also Sunday afternoon: A woman trying on clothes at Aeropostale reported somebody stole her handbag from the dressing room.

Looks like the Cambridgeside Galleria thug crew is getting bolder these days. Cambridge Police report on a May 23 robbery there:

A male juvenile victim reports that while standing in the checkout line in Best Buy at the mall, he was surrounded by three black male suspects, ages 17-19. One of the suspects motioned that he had a weapon, reached into the victim pocket and stole cash.

He also had a gold chain ripped from his neck, police say.
