A Far Cry, a string orchestra with no conductor that plays at the Gardner Museum, is up for a Grammy for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance.

The awards ceremony in Los Angeles starts at 8 p.m., EST. On their way there, the group stopped off in Tucson. They were supposed to leave for LA yesterday, but there plane was delayed for five hours. So they put on an impromptu concert for their fellow passengers.

Reports are coming in from Jamaica Plain of a power failure along Washington Street from Green south towards Forest Hills. Power is out at Green and Amory and Sumner Hill. The traffic lights at Green and Washington are out.

NStar, um, Eversource Energy, reports 877 customers without power in Boston.

Seems people are continuing to park across from the train station, even though the city never cleared the road to the curb, narrowing the road to one lane and creating backups that now extend down to Roslindale.

The Clumsy Jeweler reported around 9 a.m. on her efforts to get a bus to the train station this morning:

5 full 32's passed since 7:45. Finally got on one. Driver says it will be an hour to Forest Hills.

Several city councilors say new flight paths out of Logan Airport have shifted early morning flights over neighborhoods not used to being awoken at 5:15 a.m. by low-flying jets - and they want the FAA and Massport to explain what they're going to do about that.

"It's really impacting heavily the quality of life of constituents in my area, who are not as familiar with low flying airplanes as they are now," City Councilor Tim McCarthy (Hyde Park, Roslindale, Mattapan) said, adding he has also heard complaints from neighboring West Roxbury and Jamaica Plain.

The bagels, of course, would be artisanally New York style, carefully crafted out of "well sourced ingredients." Boston Magazine introduces us to Adam Hirsh, who's going to start out using an unidentified pizza place's ovens to bake his bagels overnight (hmm, same old bagels?) while he looks for a more permanent storefront of his own.

A Somerville man already charged with two armed holdups in Cambridge now also faces charges he held up a sandwich shop in Jamaica Plain last week.

Police declined to say whether they think Richard Perry, 41, has any connection with four other armed holdups in Jamaica Plain, but said they are looking for another possible suspect in connection with the Jan. 22 robbery at Tostado, 300 Centre St. - and that their investigation into the other robberies remains active.

An argument between two groups of teens inside Forest Hills station on Monday ended with one kid opening fire with a gun, hitting two women who had nothing to do with the beef, and missing his antagonists completely, a prosecutor said today.

Transit Police report two teens have been charged for a 2 p.m. fusillade that left one woman with life-threatening injuries and another with a fresh wound from where a bullet grazed her head.

Police say the woman with the more serious injuries, 60, did not realize she'd been shot when she developed sudden back pain. The other woman was running away from the gunfire when she realized she'd been grazed. Police found her on Asticou Road, across Washington Street from the station.

Boston Police say this is the man who held up City Feed and Supply on Jan. 16 - and the man who also held up JP Auto Services, Metro PCS, and the JP Variety Store.
