The Daily Free Press reports the student was thrown into the air when hit by a car near the BU East T stop around 12:30 p.m. today, but that she was conscious when taken away by EMTs. The driver was not cited.

ScanBoston reports two suspects in an unspecified armed robbery late Tuesday night fled in a car on Bay State Road before crashing into a pole at Commonwealth Avenue and Granby Street. A Massachusetts State Police cruiser was damaged in the chase.

The Globe reports the two were wanted for holding up the 7-Eleven store on West Newton Street in the South End.

Trolley takes on car in Brighton

Channel 7 reports a trolley tangled with a car at Comm. Ave. and South Street tonight. No injuries. Channel 7 is of two minds on the cause: Web site says trolley driver cited, but live newscast at 11 says the car driver was cited.

BostonZest discusses efforts by state and city arborists and local volunteers to protect elm trees on the Commonwealth Avenue mall and along the Esplanade and Charlesgate from the dreaded Dutch Elm Disease:

The Suffolk County District Attorney's office says Kim Jeonghyun, 25, smashed into a Colorado college student who had just gotten out of a taxi at Packard's Corner Saturday morning.

The victim sustained serious injuries, but is expected to survive. Jeonghyun is charged with drunk driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident.

Prosecutors charge she was speeding down Comm. Ave., with no headlight on, when she hit the woman near the supermarket. She allegedly continued driving after hitting the woman; only smashing into two parked cars made her stop.
