Vintage vantage

ParkwayBoston.com reports the old Vintage has been sold to another restaurant group (which probably makes sense, although it would have been more poetic if somebody like Vonage had bought it). No word on the actual buyers or type of eatery yet.

Also no word on the price. The property is currently assessed at $370,464 (with George Fontaine still listed as owner!), although the purchase price presumably also included a premium for the value of the old joint's liquor license.

Owners of kaput West Roxbury steakhouse vow to honor gift cards

The West Roxbury Bulletin reports the owners of Vintage will reimburse people who bought cards before the place shut down last month; just that it will take a month or so for them to gain access to their computer records. "I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and attempted to give them an opportunity to make this right", O'Connor said. "They will attempt to do business around here again so I want everyone to know about this". ...

They ushered in a whole new modern era for American women...all to the shock & disgrace of older generations. Read all about it here.
