A man died around 4 a.m. today when his car apparently hit a barrier at the Copley Square exit on the eastbound side, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.

The driver, 23, was alone in the car. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin; State Police accident investigators continue to look for a cause of the accident. Channel 4 reports the man was not wearing a seatbelt.

Penny Cherubino reports Traffic on the 3's was announcing a truck had gotten stuck at the Fairfield Street footbridge on Storrow Drive.

So who got caught at Charles Circle when an "overheight vehicle," as Traffic on the Threes so charmingly calls them, tried getting onto Storrow Drive by Mass. General at rush hour this evening? Bet you sent love rays the driver's way.
