Bostonians tuning into NESN to watch the tribute in Baltimore to Johnny Pesky and, oh, yeah, a ballgame, instead got a test pattern tonight, followed by some Rolling Stones, followed by a blank screen.

UPDATE: The signal came back on just in time to hear Jerry Remy say "Buenas noches, amigos!" and watch Mr. Text Message get himself out.

The state court system today opened up registration for bloggers who want the same ability as mainstream-media reporters and photographers to record and report in courtrooms.

The Standells (yeah, yeah, not from here, but still) and Jonathan Richman segueing into NKOTB, Aerosmith and Kay Hanley, all performing on top of cars and trucks jammed on a symbolic Southeast Expressway, while Tom Menino stands on top of a replica Custom House yelling at people. It'd be great!

In a recent press statement, Scott Brown declared that he was upset at a recent lawsuit settlement that requires the state to comply with the 1993 National Voter Registration Act (aka "the Motor-Voter Law"). The law requires states to offer voter registration when you apply for government services like a driver's license, but also social services like welfare too. Voting rights groups across the country have taken their states to task recently to force compliance.
